Its harvest period runs from May to September, with emphasis on the winter period.<\/p>\n<p>A very important piece of information about tangerine, which a large part of the population is unaware of, is that its peel is much richer in calcium, iron, potassium and fiber than the skin itself. fruit pulp.<\/p>\n<p>In 100 grams of tangerine peel we have:<a href=\"http:\/\/blogpratocheio.wordpress.com\/2011\/08\/17\/vamos-enriquecer-nossa-alimentacao\/diferencas-da-laranja-e-da-mexerica-mexerica\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1054\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1054\" title=\"differences-between-orange-and-mexerica-mexerica\" src=\"http:\/\/blogpratocheio.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/08\/diferencas-da-laranja-e-da-mexerica-mexerica.jpg?w=150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"113\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"overflow:hidden;height:1px;\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/netherlandsapotheek.com\/koop-soft-tabs-viagra-zonder-recept-online\/\">https:\/\/netherlandsapotheek.com\/koop-soft-tabs-viagra-zonder-recept-online\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>478.98 mg of calcium;<\/li>\n<li>4.77 mg of iron;<\/li>\n<li>598.36 mg of potassium;<\/li>\n<li>10.38 grams of fiber;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These amounts present in the fruit peel are equivalent to 60%, 32%, 30% and 35%, respectively, of the recommended daily intake (the amount we should ingest of each nutrient so that our body&#039;s functions remain stable) for each of these nutrients.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, these same nutrients in the fruit pulp are found in the following quantity (in 100 grams):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>13 mg of calcium;<\/li>\n<li>0.1 mg of iron;<\/li>\n<li>131 mg of potassium;<\/li>\n<li>0.9 grams of fiber<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The percentage of recommended daily intake covered by the pulp is then 1.6%, 6%, 6.6% and 3.03%, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>A big difference, right?<\/p>\n<p>After this information we can notice that we throw in the trash a part of the fruit, full of nutrients that could enrich our diet. So, from now on, don&#039;t throw away the gossip shells anymore. Use them to make a delicious sweet treat below:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">Tangerine Peel Jam Recipe<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 units of tangerine peel<\/li>\n<li>3 cup(s) of sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 cup(s) of water<\/li>\n<li>enough cinnamon stick<\/li>\n<li>enough cloves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preparation:<\/p>\n<p>Wash and cut the tangerine peels into strips; place in a pan; cover with water and bring to a boil quickly. Drain in a sieve.<br \/>\nPlace the shells on a platter; cover with ice water and leave to soak for three days, changing the water twice a day.<br \/>\nKeep under refrigeration. On the third day, strain the water and add the peel to the other ingredients.
