July 25th – Driver’s Day

Today, July 25th, is Saint Christopher's Day, the patron saint of drivers, travelers and taxi drivers. On this special date to pay tribute to bus drivers, taxi drivers, motorcycle couriers, truck drivers, and even that old friend or relative of ours who keeps giving us a hard time with a ride, we will give tips on how you, the driver on duty, can food in a practical, quick and healthy way.

Fruits:  Fruits have a high nutritional value and, generally, high levels of fiber, water and vitamins. Therefore, consuming a fruit such as apple, banana, pear and guava, in addition to being quick, is healthy, as vitamins and water are essential in your daily life and fiber makes you feel full, reducing the feeling of hunger.

Now, whenever you're in the middle of that traffic, remember to eat some fruit! And despite being a water source, never forget to carry a bottle of water too!

Snacks: A natural snack can be a good alternative to eating in the rush of everyday life, so you can prepare it at home or opt for healthy snacks like the ones below:

Option 1: wholemeal bread with olive tofu pâté, turkey breast, lettuce, tomato and olive oil.

Option 2: wholemeal French bread with grilled chicken fillet, grated carrot, cucumber, iceberg lettuce and olive oil with oregano to spread on the bread.

Option 3: 7-grain bread with avocado pâté (avocado, lemon, olive oil and salt), smoked turkey breast, arugula and tomato.

Option 4: wholemeal bread with shredded meat, vinaigrette and crisp lettuce

If you didn't like any of the options above, use your creativity and create your own snack, always choosing healthier products, such as low-fat cheeses and whole-grain breads and including vegetables to your liking!

Remembering that a good option for preserving these foods is the use of a thermal bag, which can be found for around R$ 29.90.
