This past Thursday, July 28, 2011, the Family Budget Survey (POF), carried out between 2008 and 2009, officially came out.
But what does this research entail?
POF is a survey carried out every 6 years by the Brazilian Institute of Geography (IBGE), which aims to provide information on the composition of household budgets, based on the investigation of consumption habits, expenditure allocation and income distribution , according to the characteristics of households and people, in addition to self-perception of quality of life and the characteristics of their nutritional profile. In general, it is a survey that analyzes the living conditions of the Brazilian population.
Over the next week we will post some of the results regarding the analysis of food consumption in Brazil, showing what is missing and what is excess in the Brazilian diet and giving tips on how to adapt these problems to your daily reality.
